On 5 March 2025, the NCC issued a judgment in an M&A case between two companies based in the Netherlands. The dispute was international as the claimant was managed by a private equity firm domiciled in Belgium.
On 29 January 2025, the Netherlands Commercial Court held a seminar titled: How will the new Dutch evidence rules affect international commercial dispute resolution? About 60 persons attended the hybrid seminar, including online attendees from Indonesia, Italy, Germany, Romania, Poland and the United Kingdom.
On 1 January 2025, the Dutch Code of Civil Procedure (DCCP) was amended on several points. Most notably, the update includes a simplification and modernisation of the rules of evidence. To mark this occasion, the Netherlands Commercial Court (NCC) is holding an English-language seminar exploring how these changes may affect the resolution of international commercial cases.
On 13 November 2024, the Netherlands Commercial Court held a webinar on the various options for dispute resolution, titled: "Jurisdiction clauses: how to escape from the jungle of infinite possibilities?". Lawyers from all over the world attended the webinar.
The NCC published a flyer which outlines the elements to consider when selecting the appropriate dispute resolution forum for an international agreement.
